STATEMENT:
FRANKFORT, Aug. 22, 2018–“This is part of a systematic effort to dismantle our public schools. Eliminating the requirements for advanced degrees will limit the educational advancement of students, reduce teacher pay and professional development, and help make it easier to staff taxpayer-funded charter schools with less qualified teachers. If the Governor’s past statements were not enough, this should alarm everyone that recognizes the importance of having a top-tier system of public schools.”
